Andy runs home from a long day at school. All he could think about in class were his friends waiting for him in his room and how he wanted to play with them all. "Hey Mom!" he yells while slamming the door shut.

"How was school?" replies his mom from the kitchen. She was feeding his baby sister. 

"Fine!" Andy yells as he sprints up the stairs to his room and slams the door shut. His favorite cowboy doll Woody was hanging off the bed while his pal, a macho space hero named buzz lays beside him. He looked at them for a second and thought to himself "I play with these guys all the time." He pans around his room at all his toys. Building blocks, Etch-A-Sketch, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky, Rex, Hamm...REX" He picks up his large, green, plastic dinosaur. He remembers the day that he first got this ferocious guy. He was 3 years old. At fist Rex scared him. His pointy teeth and sharp tail would give Andy nightmares until one day he saw this movie about a large reptile fighting other monsters. He wasn't scared anymore. Rex became the object of many of Andy's games. Mostly as a pet or scary side kick. 

With Rex gripped in his hand, Andy scanned his room again until they focused in on a bucket with stars on it. He popped open the bucket and dumped out a bunch of Green Army Men. Hmmmm...









I realized that Godzilla came out in 2014 and this takes place when Andy is much younger
